The
North
Central
Federal
Clinic
opened
December
4,
2006,
as
the
result
of
an
innovative
venture
between
the
Department
of
Veterans
Affairs
(VA)
and
Department
of
Defense
(DoD)
to
treat
both
VA
and
DoD
beneficiaries.
When
fully
staffed,
the
Clinic
will
have
eight
VA
and
four
DoD
providers
offering
services
to
approximately
10,000
veterans
and
military
family
members.

Our staff
welcomes you
to the North
Central
Federal
Clinic, a
facility
that
provides
high‑quality,
customer-friendly
medical care
as well as
access to
veterans’
services.
You will be
assigned a
provider for
your medical
care.
Physicians
and nurse
practitioners
work closely
with a team
of other
clinic staff
to insure
you receive
the best
care
available.

TeleCare,
a service
that
provides
24-hour
medical
advice to
veteran
patients by
telephone,
is available
by dialing
888-686-6350.
This service
has
bilingual
capability
and provides
prompt,
reliable,
and
courteous
answers to
patient
questions.
This is not
an emergency
facility.
If you have
a medical
emergency,
please call
911 or your
local
medical
emergency
system.
Clinic
visits
are by
scheduled
appointment.
We
recommend
that you
report
15
minutes
before
your
appointment
time.
If
you are
late for
your
scheduled
appointment,
you may
be asked
to
reschedule.

Scheduling
hours
are 7:30
am to
4:00 pm
on
Mondays,
Tuesdays,
Thursdays,

Fridays,

10:00 am

pm on
Wednesdays.
If you

ill
between
appointments,
we want

Please
leave
your
name,
the name
of the
patient,
the last
four
numbers
of the
patient’s
social
security
number,
symptoms
and
duration
of
illness,
and a

Calling
ahead
will
decrease
waiting
times
and we
may be
able to
take
care of
the
problem
over the
telephone.
If for
any
reason
you are
unable
to
contact
the
Clinic
nurse,
please
feel
free to
use the
South
Texas
Veterans
Health
Care
System’s
TeleCare
number
at
888‑686-6350.
After hours
and on
weekends and
holidays,
TeleCare
provides
telephone
medical
advice to
veterans.
Our service
has
bilingual
capability
and provides
prompt,
reliable,
and
courteous
answers to
patients’
questions.
Veterans and
their family
members can

at

to discuss
medical
concerns,
access to
care,
medications,
or any
health
problem.
You are
responsible
for
requesting
your refills
at least 10
to 14 days
before your
last dose is
to be
taken. The

A touch tone
telephone is
required to
use
TeleMed.
Refills may
also be
obtained by
mailing your
prescription
refill slip
to the
Clinic or by
using our
24-hour
TeleMed
refill

and supplies
prescribed
by North
Central
Federal
Clinic
providers
may be
obtained
through the
North
Central
Federal
Clinic
Pharmacy
during
regular
Clinic
hours.
