Consideration Definitions:
Limited: You must be a current permanent employee in the duty station of
the Section &/or Care Line listed in the announcement.
Facility-Wide: You must be a current, permanent employee of the duty
station listed in the announcement.
VISN-Wide: You must be a current, permanent employee of one of the VA
Medical Centers listed in the announcement or one of the outlying offices that
are served by one of these VA Medical Centers.
VA-Wide: You must be a current, permanent employee of the Department of
Veterans Affairs. Please review the full text announcement to see if any
additional categories of applicants are eligible to apply.
Federal Government-Wide: You must be a current, permanent employee of
the Federal Civilian Government to apply. This type of position commonly has
other categories of applicants that may apply besides current, permanent federal
employees. Please review the full text announcement if additional categories of
individuals are eligible to apply.
Status Eligibles:Open to current Federal employees serving under a career
or career conditional appointment, former Federal employees with reinstatement
eligibility, or persons eligible for non-competitive appointment under Special
Authorities. Veterans who are preference eligible or who have been separated
from the armed forces under honorable conditions shortly before completing 3
years of continuous active service may apply.
